Family: Husband, Dennis, of 28 years – Professional
Photographer. USAF Retired. 4 Rescued Golden Retrievers.
School: International College/Hodges University Bachelor of
Science Degree with a Construction minor.
Career: Owner/General Contractor. I specialize in high-end
residential remodeling.
Specialty: DesignTech is a remodeling firm offering concierge
style full service remodeling and project management. I am
hands on so that my clients receive the highest level of personal
service available in the construction industry. We practice as
Green as possible and focus on recycling and donating our
“demo” materials.

Something About You: My Father is an Academy Award winning
Cinematographer. While working in real estate administration, I
studied still and motion picture photography. When I married,
we were reassigned to The Pentagon. I landed my first position
handling a commercial office build-out, new home construction
and various design projects for some incredible VIP clientele.
I continued with construction and design project management,
international procurement, and universal design. In FL I chose
to focus on remodeling. I still practice everything I learned
in Hollywood – contrast, composition, scale and lighting.
Dad taught me the most important part of the production was
preparation. DesignTech supports many charities. DesignTech
is also a member of NAHB, Lee BlA, WCR B-E and NKBA.
I am certified to teach CAPS I and II, Estimating. I am also an
EPA Certified Lead Renovator. In 2010, Katherine Southard
joined DesignTech as Office Manager. Together, with our team
of carefully selected construction specialists, Katherine and I
would be happy to take care of your remodeling needs.
